Wide A M

    Was the wide A M in america on the obverse of late 1980s lincoln cents the 'norm'? I was looking through a can of pennies my wife had looking for the 1998 1999 or 2000 wide A M variety and found none other than a number of them from cents that were from the late 1980s.

    Yes - they all had it. At the time - that was the norm.
