Last night, I was talking to her on the phone about our summer vacation to Washington state. I mentioned that I was thinking of going to the World's Fair of Money in Baltimore, but didn't think I'd have enough time or money to both, but that there was always next year. She told me that she was planning on giving me part of our uncle's inheritance anyway, and that she would gladly fund the whole trip if I wanted to go. I thought about it and felt bad because I would rather her have a decent savings for when she retires, but she insisted since I have never really asked her for anything. I almost started crying. I just need to find out what I need to do to attend. Do I need to register with someone or do I just show up?
Just show up, and sign up. here's the link: http://www.money.org/Content/NavigationMenu/NumismaticEvents/WorldsFairofMoney/default.htm
That was going to be my next question. Is anyone else going? I'm totally cool with a vacation by myself. (God knows I need it.) But it would be cool to know someone there. I'm going to ask the guys at my coin club if anyone is going. I think one of them is, but it's going to be with his wife. So, basically, I just show up and sign up for stuff, huh? I don't need to pre-register or anything?
I grew up just 45 minutes north of Baltimore, and my parents still live there/ It might be cool to go to that, as I've never been to one before. I just don't know what my summer holds and whether or not I could swing the trip, though.
