Why is the Kookaburra 1 oz silver coins not proof?

I can see that the fields are matte, but it's more consistent with a reverse proof in the above 2016 example. Or, what would a proof version look like?

    Thanks in advance!

On the proof versions the matte field does not exist

Thanks, is it the same thing with the proof 2008 Kookaburra too?

All the examples I'm finding have matte fields.

There were no proofs from 2006-2011. In other words 2005 was the last proof until 2012.

Here's a proof, not my coin or photo. Just an image from online.

It looks much like a typical US proof.

Thanks for clearing that up for 2008 and some of the other years!

That's was what was confusing me so much.
