I don't know. They sell nickels, quarters, half dollars, and dollar coins. I'm sure they could find a way.
Well...the mint is there to make a dollar (no pun intended) and not to help coin collectors. I don't think they have thought about it yet...but when they do... Speedy
i wish they would, put the value of pennies and dimes would go down to due such large amounts of high graded coins
Yes they do but why are you buying them from the mint above face value? You cannot get the halves or dollars from circulation and the nickel and quarters have a special wrapper on them guaranteeing that as long as the wrapper is intact the coins inside are gem BU and have not been through all the process of getting into circulation. Also they are marketing them with the State quarter and westward journey programs. Pennies and dimes are notdone this way. Would you pay say $4.95 for gem BU rolls of P & D pennies that you can pay $1.00 for at the bank? Plus the shipping costs.
whoopig, where I live in eastern part of the country I can't get D rolls at face value. I have no problem getting P's thats for sure though.
In 1998 there was simply no demand for any mint state regular issue coins except those in mint sets which sold at a steep premium. As time has gone on they have added one denomination after another until only dimes and cents aren't included. As the demand developes look for these to be added.
