Its great that you can change your Avatar as often as you want..i think its fun to see what Stevex6 has on his Avatar.. I chose mine, because i collect Ancient Byzantine coins, i love the one's with Christ on the obverse..for a Christian guy to have a pocket piece, Avatar with his bust on it is awesome...:smile So post up why you have yours.. Byzantine Anonymous...978 - 1028..AD.. Bronze Follis.. Ob. Christ facing, holding the book of Gospels.. Rev. King of Kings and Lord of Lords in 4 lines.. 35mm x 16.60g..
Great obverse on that follis Eng :smile (I chose my avatar because my pseudo is Rasputin, evidently :bangg
I went to the Jersey shore and saw "LUCY" for the first time in years so I thought I would share the photo I took. I'll probley change it in a few days when my 2013 Proof ASE show up
I chose my avatar because it is, on most days, my favorite piece. On other days I prefer one of the other pieces in my collection, but before I get a chance to change the avatar, my favorite comes back to the one that is already there. ~Chris
>I like Morgans. >I like CC Morgans. >I like Morgan toners. >I like this one because I bought it from a friend. >I particularly like this one because I paid about $700 less than another same-grade, similarly-toned 83-CC Morgan that sold on eBay just to weeks before my purchase. Take your pick! Chris
I picked mine because I bought the painting for 400.00, the artist got famous, a couple years later I sold it for 1500.00 and bought a pcgs st. gaudens.
Franklin? Why not. He has a lot to do with US coinage. Not a President but lived a nearly mythical life!
Hes right Eng thats a great avatar. Rasputin is a bit harsh hey Dionysos. I am surprised you didn't choose the Super Thasos Super Stater as the avatar.
I picked my Avatar because it shows my screen name and the types of copper coins I like to collect. Here is a larger version
Look here ... http://www.cointalk.com/profile.php?do=editavatar (You can also have a "profile image" which is displayed as part of the public "portion" of your profile.) My avatar is Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, from the Italian €1 piece. It's a euro coin (which is what I use every day), and I like that design. Christian
