looks like could be damaged, but not one letter was even imprinted on back. Any ideas if I should keep or toss

Looks like a grease filled die. What does the obverse look like?

I think @Fred Weinberg mentioned at one time an error that looks similar to this, but I can't remember what it was called. Maybe he will chime in.

I agree that it looks like a grease filled die strike.

Most others that I have found involve both dies. There is only one and I cant think or find it either, involving a 98-2000 Lincoln obv. and if I remember it was localized to the date.

Here is my grease filled die. Looks similar to OPs with regards to missing lettering, though mine has it on both sides. Just assumed it was a severely grease filled die.

Looks cool on both coins either way, I just find it odd, that the one I found has not one clear letter print in the USA part, I’m gonna keep mine either way

I'd keep it too. It looks pretty cool.

If this is a close am date, would this be considered wide?

This was a good read this morning, it defines the difference between a grease filled die and a weak low pressure strike.
