WHOA! Washington dollar ERRORS!!

I found 14 Washington Dollar errors in one roll! These coins don't have the edge lettering! They're going up on Ebay right now =)

Hmmm...I may have to open one of my rolls and see if I have any of these errors. We may be able to make a fortune!!!

 

Great Find! There is one on ebay right now selling for over $400!!! You might have just found a gold mine!

 

i knew the washington dollars were made of gold. i should go buy a ton of the rolls i guess

 

Do you think I should send some to NGC or sell them all while they're hot?

Some of the coins have a silver layer showing through....are these planchet errors too??

Philly. The ones in the roll with edge lettering had P mint marks....

thanks for the Information. West coast and east cost. Can not wait for the proofs. Who said the Presidential coins would not be worth collecting. Now when is it the bank lady told me they were getting some more?

At least the mint spreads it out. Just got my copy of coin world. One of their heading is "Mint engineers meet challenge. Adapt edge lettering equipment for presidential coins." should be interesting.

 

Thats what I'd do :hammer: but Its all up to you and whether you think this will become a common error (sell now with the hype) for rare (sell later when demand builds).

 

You mean you're not going to take them back and insist on a refund!

 

After opening a roll I got this morning I'm not impressed at all. Clashes all over the coins. Date alignment all over the place. Missing top of 7 on 2007, dents all around rims. You might as well go back to counting tree limbs, tops, extra ears of corn etc. I'm not going to waste my time, the mint put out another garbage coin.

 

sell sell sell you might want to take a risk and hold onto one spare one in case the demand builds in the future you wont lose out. It's up tp you though as soon as i get paid i a going to go buy a $100 woth of predential dollars hoping to land a gold mine myself

 

Yea, I'm going to sell MOST. However, tommorow or the next day I will be mailing one of the planchet error+ no edge lettering ones off to NGC for grading =)
