None of them. The Steve Jobs I got a laugh out of, his mug is the last one I'd want to see on a note or coin, same goes for Peter Jennings.
i like them as artists renditions but i dont know , i think america would be shocked to see mlk on a 1 dollar bill altho i look forward to it.. id like that it looks very nice.. very clean as they all do but i think they look too much like the euro..
i guess i was misleading with my question. forget this artists choices. what 5 people would YOU pick to be on new bills.
Out of the people, I would pick MLK to be on our currency out of the bunch. I like Neil Armstrong but don't feel he should be on currency, commemorative's would be okay. The others are questionable or wouldn't even be considered, at least if it was my choice.
what about ben franklin? dont think he was ever the president, and his face is the global representation of currency. not to mention one of the most handsome coins the mint ever designed(imo).
More presidents, no way. I'm with people who contributed significantly to our history, culture and national identity. MLK would be a good start.
Yeah, if I had to pick one I would pick the MLK. He did a ton for the civil rights movement only to get killed. That sucks big-time so in my mind he deserves it. Just speaking my mind. :thumb:
If we're putting inventors on our currency, I would love to see something with Nikola Tesla. Our world would not exist without his induction motor and AC power transmission systems that support it. I have always felt that he doesn't get enough recognition for his contributions to society.
