Who Wants To Grade This 1881 Morgan? zaneman?

zaneman? Get some practice in, LOL! I left it in the mylar flip. I plan on sending it in for grading this week.

I'm going to guess that coin is an ms-63, possibly a 62.

It's suppose to be S/S but I can't get clear enough pictures of the mintmark.

 

I'm new at grading Morgans, as I just started the series :hatch: . My focus is a complete O Set. (IMO the CCs are way too collected ). This post will give me some practice and I'll say MS-63. Too many noticible marks for a 64. Let me know what it comes back as and keep um comin'

 

62 sounds good to me. Anything higher would surprise me.

 

MS62. alot of marks on the obv. HOWEVER. in the first two pictures it looks like PAPA Smurf had a hold of it. That might get a premium!

 

62+ on Obverset 63 on Reverse....

Either way, its a good find, especially if you got it for a good price...

I'd like to know how it grades...

Also, I'd know it'd be a huge waste of time and money, but I'd like to send the same coin in 3 or 4 times to each of the major and well known grading services and see what they give it each time... Trying to get a feel for how well they actually do...

 

Looks like an MS64 to me ,or another MS68 at SGS !!!

 

I would say and MS 62. Definitely nothing higher than an MS 63.
