who made the coin!!!

    I was checking my coins and i remembered my pope john paul the 2 10$ silver coin and I couldnt find the designers name:desk: I looked for hours and could not find it if you reply can you give ne the coins history please:bow:

    Jeff,could you give us a bit more description of the coin?If it is a $10 denomination,it must have the name of the issuing country or state on the reverse.Otherwise it's a silver medal or round.Here is one I picked up recently.

    Sure others exist, but only commemoratives I can think of (from an actual govermnent's mint) of John Paul II were issued by Poland. I believe the 10 zloty coin is silver. Not sure of the name of the designer.

    Vatican City also issued some commemorative Euro coins in 2005, were all quite rare.

    Royal Canadian Mint issued a commerative silver $10 coin in 2005. If that is the one you are talking about the designers name is Susan Taylor.

    Well, John Paul traveled quite a bit. :) And some countries that he visited issued commems on that occasion, Austria 1988 and Malta 1990 for example ...
