Who knows about this Indian Head Cent Variety?

We got this in today and could not dig anything up using our resources, so we turn to this community. :)

This is an 1864 "L" Indian Head Cent with a double 1 and 8 in the date. This year is already riddled with many varieties so it is very difficult to dig up anything about the doubling. Any info would be helpful.

Yes there are, but I would not say this one is difficult. What "resources" did you use?

Everything except the first volume of the cherrypickers guide haha unfortunately we don't have that on hand. Do you know which variety this is?

Okay... I can respect that. It's a Snow-1 and FS-01-1864-xx01. Off the top of my head I forget the first two digits are, but should be easy enough to google.

This is a Snow 1, repunched double date, possibly a triple RPD. My Cherrypickers' Guide, 4th edition lists it as FS # 1- 006.7 1864 with "L". The Breen# 1962; Snow-1.

Thanks BB4C!! The first two digits are 23 and easy enough to google apparently haha
I definitely need to invest in Volume I of the Cherrypickers Guide. I didn't think I'd ever need it but now I know how wrong I was. Thanks again.
