I found out that she was libertas but I couldn't find her parents. Can anyone help me? Thanks for your time
Apparently, the medal was the inspiration of Ben Franklin and it was sculpted by the renowned French medalist, Augustin Dupre. Sadly, it doesn't appear that Libertas Americana had a mother. http://www.usrarecoininvestments.com/coin_info/colonial_coins/libertas_americana.htm Chris
Concerning the Statue of Liberty Here is an old newspaper article about a woman named Dorothy Bartholdi Franks. She was the great-great-granddaughter of Charlotte Bartholdi, the mother of sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi and model for the Statue of Liberty, which Bartholdi fashioned 100 years before this article printed in April 8, 1984 The article was my dads that he kept from a newspaper and I kept it all this time.
