    Not sure where this is from, looked in the Krause 1900+ for Egypt but didn't see it there :goof:

    Wow that was fast... awesome acanthite, what clued you in this quick a hunch or do you know Thailand coins or is the writing unique to only a few countries? Inquiring minds want to know.

    That bust on the obverse is a dead give-away. I don't ever study Asian coinage, but that one, even I recognize.

    He is King Bhumibol Adulyadej "the Great" also known as King Rama IX...he has been king of Thailand for about 60+ years...that means a hell of a lot of coins with his mug on them...

    1 baht my KING RAMA9 at first time he become a KING . it a WW2 so a lot of coins low quality you can see in my album
