poor thing was unbid on with an opener of 49... even cleaned (I think), I think i did good for a 50 lol xf i'm thinking PS If I win the big auction you can bet you will all have a fun GTG put up later tonight
"big" auction went big (jumped from a very low 100 to the 200ish price i expected it to sell for... final selling price..... I was ready to go 300 if needed..... final selling price.... $1275.00 https://www.ebay.com/itm/2345735975...=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Wow. What am I missing that would make it go for that much?? You can get problem free MS examples for less than half that price on BIN listings.
I have the same question - I picked this up (raw) for a bit more than $100. I was hoping it would grade a bit higher actually. I've been trying to move my SLQ collection to straight higher graded examples (started out as a low grade Whitman album set). Though I don't have an issue with most Details coins, they don't usually sell at a premium - in fact I like them because they make rarer coins affordable to me in general. What are we missing about this one? Would this be a candidate for cracking out, toning a bit on the shelf in the sun and resubmitting for a straight MS grade? I haven't tried that, but I've heard it can work. I'm sometimes suspicious of "private-bidder" auctions like this one, I think it makes shill bidding easier, but I still feel like I'm not seeing something here - $1275? It does appear to be a good candidate for Full Head designation.
Mine? I was hoping for Extra Fine 45, I see a lot of graded SLQs, so I don’t think thats nuts, but I don’t dispute the grade, lol. I’m happy to have it and will improve the collection if and when the opportunity arises.
I was hoping for Extra Fine 45 Our own coins are always a grade higher than the TPG. I see a lot of graded SLQs, so I don’t think thats nuts, but I don’t dispute the grade So you agree then? I’m happy to have it and will improve the collection if and when the opportunity arises. It is a nice coin, property graded and priced. Add it to the collection and enjoy!

Very nice coin weaseluv. Here is a nice detailed Seated Quarter and my only CC quarter. It has been bent and has somewhat rough surfaces but it cost me $35 (which is right about Good-4 money). Think this one might be right up your alley. Mid-grade Seated Quarters are among my favorite coins.
I saw this BU Standing liberty type 1 for $429. It isn't graded though. https://www.apmex.com/product/14926...40&utm_content=All Products Bing Shopping CPA
