I am going to try to purchase a MS or PR 70 $5 2008 W Gold Buffalo on E-Bay, Im seeing there selling between 650 and 700 Early Release. From my reseach that is a fair price. Question I have which might be a better buy? The MS or PF ? Maybe someone has 1 they want to see, PM and let me know. Jim
hinde sight is always 20/20 as I passed up two 2008 W $5 for $500 for the two thought it was a bit over priced at that time. I also had both the MS and PR 4 coin sets .I kept the MS strike set and returned the proof set. My reason at the time was Why keep both sets and the Unc had a lower mintage than the proof. Now even Red book price of the proof is about $750.00 more than the Unc. set. I can't see these coins loosing in value only going upwards. As if I recall the Mint price on these 4 coin sets was around $1300.00 mark and now sell in the 6 to 8 K price range. Not a bad increase in value. Just wished I had of doubled down on this one.
