I have these three coins to chose from and was looking for opinions. Which would you chose if you could only buy ONE? 1831 bust half AU 50 for $275: Or a 1839 bust half AU 50 for $350: Or an 1893-O barber quarter MS62 for $280:
First Bust half if you like big coins. Otherwise, the Barber. Second Bust half would be my last choice. IN MY OPINION (all the usual disclaimers), that Barber is maybe TWO points under-graded.
The more I look at that Barber, the more convinced I am that, if I had that in front of me, I'd be SO openin' a can of those seagulls from Finding Nemo. Remember them? "Mine..., Mine..., Mine..."
I agree and sort of knew that the OGH with the Barber as Kurt pointed out would be my 1st choice..definitely no less than 1 and agreed most probably 2 pts. Under graded. The bust are sweet the Barber is the winner
You know......it just dawned on me....your statement is so true, and that said and January 6 is recognzed by many as little Christmas....I think Bronc should buy it and send it to me "As those Ravens seats were pretty sweet eh?" I could examine the specimen and secure it against any hanky panky.
If there is a chance that Barber will grade one grade higher, I think it will, and that would be my choice. Would need to see it in hand!
You sir, went above and beyond anything that anyone has even done for me visiting their hometown! I still can't thank you enough!! With that said... I'd like to repay the favor, but not with this little barber guy! Lol
