I really don’t know how to state this or put this out there, so I will just put some of my thoughts out there and maybe there are some people on the same page that can understand or find value in this post. Basically, I buy collections whenever I can. I do this for many reasons, but more than you might think, it is a great learning experience and builds my coin knowledge base. Inevitably, I end up with boxes of coins that I don’t collect. I have recently decided to get a better handle on all of these coins (crazy, I know). So, it is my intent to move them out when they are organized. Most are minors and there is some silver, but it is not intended to make a great deal of money. In fact, I would prefer trading for silver or silver crowns vs selling outright. I see a lot of people looking for this country or that country and certain coins from places. At any one time, I feel like I have had coins to fill those needs. In addition, I have often thought, “If I collected this country, I would really want these coins,” when looking through some boxes. I don’t think coins sitting in boxes help anyone. Obviously, I have boxes of Canadian, German, Mexican, etc. But, I also have a great deal of other countries, including uncirculated coins up to the 1960s. For instance, I have 10 or so uncirculated 1960s commems from Poland. Cool coins, but not in my wheelhouse. So, in approaching this post, I was trying to figure out exactly how I would want to do this. I could not tell you exactly what I have. If you asked me if I had “x” country, I would then have to look for what I have. It may take a week to figure out. But, hopefully I would have something to address what you want and we can swap some silver or something. If not, no big deal. I do not want to trade/sell 1 or 2 coins. It’s not worth the trip to or cost at the post office. I am looking for people looking for many coins that fit some needs to make it worth our time. So, having said all of that, if you are looking for a particular country or some minors or some particular coins from a certain date, shoot me a PM and I will see what I have. Again, with life outside of coins, it might take me a while to give you an answer, but I will do my best to be timely.
