Howdy everyone. I'm trying to make CoinTalk nicer and easier to use for everyone and wanted some input. I changed a setting for the margins today, and wanted to get an idea if this makes a difference to anyone, and what size margins would everyone like to see. I setup the Banknote Forum to show an alternative size margins that might work better for people with certain screen sizes. So, what I'd like is to hear opinions on which you think looks better, works better for you, or if you think something else would be better. Or even if you don't care either way, I'd like to hear from you.
There is no option on your poll for me. Both sites appear exactly the same on my screen. ETA, except that the stamp forum still has the old font.
If you're referring to the "gray" area on the left and right margins, then I like what you have on the BankNote Forum. BTW, I have a standard 19" Monitor with a 1280x1024 display resolution.
On one hand I like the older style that fills my whole screen on my laptop, but on the other, when using my tablet or iphone, the scrolling horizontal sucked..
If this was a trick to get me to visit banknoteforum.com....it worked! I like the smaller margins from that site better, at least on my work PC. But maybe on my Android tablet I'll have a different opinion.
My vote goes to: Smaller margins, smaller fonts (the way it used to be until recently). I don't like these fonts, large and ugly.
Wouldn't have noticed the difference if you hadn't brought it up. Still not sure what changed, although the font looks bigger - not sure I like that.
I'm guessing that the Banknote forum margins, being more narrow, would make that forum harder to view on a 4:3 screen, while CT might look OK on a 4:3 screen. I wonder how many here still have an old 4:3 screen.
Anyone who thinks the fonts should be smaller can use this: on a mac, hold the command button and minus button on a windoze, hold the control button and the minus button
