Would you rather have a 1868 NGC PF-65* Cameo Seated Half dollar, or a 1950 PCGS PF-66 Cameo Franklin Half dollar.

Personally the Franklin because that's what I collect mainly but don't let us be the deciding factor if it's a coin you plan to buy. Let that be your decesion. :D

I am not planing on buying either one soon, but I saw them both in the R & I Coins ad in Coin World and the Franklin was $4,800 more than the Seated Liberty.

I'd say the Seated Half Dollar.

The Franklin.....I already have one but wouldn't mind another one.....

Why was the Franklin soo much....was it CAMEO or what....a PCGS PF66 Franklin would run under $700...I got mine for alittle over $400.

I'd take the Franklin, sell it, buy the seated, and spend the rest on other coins.

Purely depends on how I would acquire the coin. If I had to buy it, steal it or it was given to me. In any case, I would just turn around and sell it for a profit hopefully and buy all the 55DD Lincolns I could find.

The Franklin fits my collect much better. If I started to collect Seat Liberty coins, well put it this way I can't afford to collect Seated Liberty Halves, at least now this decade.

In reality I can't afford a proof 1950 Franklin either, but it is always nice to think that I can...some day.

I'm just happy to have what I have.
