I got this coin in some grocery store change yesterday and I have no clue on what type of 1970s this is. The 0 looks like it is the highest number in the date. When holding it in bright light the 70 looks higher than the 19 but I honestly need an expert opinion. The smudge between "God" and "we" was just a little bit of something and I was able to wipe it away. My scanner isn't the best if you zoom in on the date it become blurry. Anyway here is a couple of pics.

    Thank you ~Socomer

Edit. I just came across http://www.thecentproject.com/sort1970.php and I still can't tell... This leads me to my next question. Direct me to a previous post or just tell me a great retail place I can but a good 5-10x magnifying glass for relatively cheap.

bryantallard show me the money....so i can look through it

i am very new to this myself...but looking in my book it looks like a large. in the pictures in my book it compares the large to the small. with the small date...the 7 and 0 are flush on the top. if you held a straight edge item across the top the would touch together. with the large date, the 7 sits slightly lower than the 0. i found this picture online for reference. images[5].jpg the second image shows you exactly what i have found with research, but again i am no expert and trying to learn myself. images[6].jpg disregard the 36. wrong upload

It is going to sound/look better to you if you line the 7 up with the 9 AND 0 in stead of just the 0

The small date has a weak Liberty also.

I can tell it's a large date, even with the small picture.
