WHERE'S THE 9?

    I can't see where the last number might have been scratched off so is this a mint error?
    Or is there a different way to remove something from a coin that I am not aware of?

    I also think the coin is struck through grease. A nice error coin. :)

    Thanks tommyc03, I am glad I got that microscope from Amazon...Works good and nice price too...Think it was $35...Or some where around that price....

    Think I'm also seeing a poorman's double die there with doubling on the 5. I've seen most of these on 55's and 53's but imagine they could be on any of the 50's date. Good investment on the scope.

    Looks like the Die was filled with grease in that particular area. A very common Mint error. Nice find.
