Get every available numismatic periodical, a stack of envelopes and stamps, and make dozens of copies of a letter saying: "Dear dealer. Do you have any 1999 $5 notes with a serial number consisting only of 4's and 7's?".

Then stuff the envelopes, stamp them, and address them to every dealer advertising in any of the periodicals.

Labor intensive, but what the heck. :p

    well... i have a 1999 $1 w/ sn F77444477A, a 1999 $10 w/ sn BB47774744C, and a 1999 $20 w/ sn BC77774777A... the $10 and $20 were found in cerc. and the $1 was won off ebay... so i decided to try and complete the set.

Thanks for the info guys! appreciate it much!

You can try a well-known USA dealer, Billy. His website is www.usarare.com.

Another very well-know 101% trustworthy US dealer website - www.executivecurrency.com. Most American fancy number collectors would know Mike Abramson who is one of the partner in this website.
