Where might this coin be from...

    From the pick-bin, I just liked the boar's (pig's or ...) head:D

    I haven't been able to find out where it is from; haven't measured it yet, but it is small.

    Looks Nabatean. Aretas II. Old Meshorer 1.

    Possibly a countermark on the obverse (Athena's head).

    This my example of the type I believe yours is:

    These were often struck on older Ptolemaic bronze coins, so what looks like a possible c/m may be the result of overstriking.

    Hmmm... OR... an earlier Nabatean of highly similar design (Athena obverse / Nike reverse) which is catalogued as Barkay 1. Below is my example of the type:

    Note that on this coin there is clear evidence of it having been overstruck on a Ptolemaic via partially remaining legend on the reverse.
