    Welcome to the neighborhood!

Most bulk lots have been searched, so don't expect to find any million dollar coins in them. I noted in your other thread that you collect world coins. So, if you can find a seller on eBay who is offering a varied mix of countries, denominations and dates, then I see no harm in it as long as the seller isn't asking too much. I don't collect world coins, so maybe someone with experience with these will chime in.

I have been buying some bulk coins from people, but wasn't sure if that was the best way. Thanks for the well thought out reply btw, I really appreciate the help! As a US coin buyer, where do you look for coins at?

Some newspapers and "white sheets" allow you to free list a desire to bid on estates with coins. Also check with your county's offices in probate or property dispersal , where ever they list and auction estates where there are no one to inherit ( Usually such may not leave much , but sometimes it is surprising what they have stashed away.

As a rule with only a couple of exceptions, I don't buy bulk lots because I collect mainly uncirculated coins.....Morgans, Franklins, Ikes, Kennedys, Sacs, etc. The only other "bulk" purchases I've made have been $25, $50, $100 & $250 bags from the US Mint searching for high-grade (MS68 or better) business strikes which I then submit for grading.

Almost all the folks who manage estate sales will go though coins with a fine comb.. take anything worth anything for themselves or buddies, and then sell the common stuff to the public as auction hype prices. I'd avoid with a passion if I were you... but feel free to check a few estate sales out and see for yourself.
