Don't see these come up for bid on the market that often anymore, and I am always horribly off with my estimates, so more experienced collectors, where do you think this one will close at?

I'm thinking around $1800. In any event it's too high for me. Thanks for sharing.

    It is naturally toned.
There are plenty of sellers who only deal with toned coins so there is nothing suspicious about them having many toned coins for sale.

Many internet dealers specialize in toned coinage. If the coins were AT, they wouldn't all be in NGC & PCGS plastic, and they certainly wouldn't reside in holders from the 90s.

As for the coin, it should have maxed out at about $500, this is moon money where it is at right now.

That coin would have been in the $500 range in the 2015-2019 period but after the 2020 bump, it's at least a $1k toner (and I would bid in the 900 range if it wasn't already this high). The current amount seems strong even in this market but if even two people really like it, I could see it reaching $2k.

I hear what you are saying, but to my eye, this is a pretty common reverse toner with nothing really special to set it apart. And if the market is really this hot, it might be time to sell my Battle Creek.

I would not call it that common; it is in the higher end of the spectrum.
As far as your Battle Creek, now might be a good time. There are claims that we peaked around late 2022 but there are still incredibly high results for toned Morgans, especially at Great Collections (and we are well above pre 2020 levels).

No, they aren’t AT. I know the seller.

Yeah I hear that . I’ve got a couple real off the charts monsters that I’ve had for over 10 years maybe it’s time . Honestly I wish I’d kept all my toned Morgan’s when I kind of lost interest in then.
