When picking a coin out to add to your collection, what is....

    the most important quality you look for and why?

    I think for me it would have to be luster, cuz I like it.

    If it's British Commonwealth & it is numismatic,I would buy it.It would also depend on the price as well.

    I learned early on not to buy fillers just to have something to fill the empty hole with. That being said, its going to have to be eye appeal for the grade (ie a fine that looks nice as opposed to a doggy fine etc)

    Well most of the time I have a list of coins I'm hunting---the coins must be in my grade range--price range---but most of all have great eye appeal...at least to me!

    I look for coins that I need, then the grade, and then check for any problems. Any problems, and I don't even ask for a price, just pass on the coin.
    Also, I hoard certain dates, so I will buy in quantity in anticipation of my kids making a buck.
