Would banks that I do not have an account with be fine if I brought in a few rolls of halves and swap it out for bills? Or do you think they would give me a hard time about it because I don't have an account, and I might be trying to put 1 coin less into the rolls?

Granted, when I get rolls or other things by the handfull from my local bank, there are often times where the roll is 1-4 coins over or under

Best to have an account, even a small one.

Where I live, some banks ask and some don't. Just try. All they can do is say no. I have many banks I pick up at that I don't have accounts at. I usually dump at two that I have accouts at though. You saw you only have a few rolls... so not a big deal.

I have found that sticking to banks where I have an account is a better bet. I do check in on other banks occasionally for anything interesting but do not dump or buy large amounts from them. I have been turned away from banks that have previously let me exchange coined for cash.
