I noticed today you have to add the grade along with the serial number to be able to look up coins. When I am browsing through Ebay I'll look up coins and also go through to see what else was sent in with it, purely out of curiosity. I guess I can't do that anymore.
Yes, I assume they decided (realized?) that they were leaking information inappropriately. On the one hand, it seems harmless to do what you're describing; on the other hand, I'm sure submitters don't want TPGs revealing any extra information about them. I'm a bit surprised that they don't require you to specify the series as well.
I noticed that a while back as well. I'm guessing that the bulk submitters don't want anyone knowing how many 69's and/or 70's they got in a particular submission. If I were a potential buyer, and I knew that a seller's submission consisted of 70% 69's and 30% 70's, I might be apt to offer a lower price. Chris
