Just wondering if anyone knows ? This is the first PCI slabbed coin I have seen with a red label.

A red label means that it is a problem coin. Usually cleaned or scratched or something along those lines.

I'm fairly certain that is always how the have done that. If you are looking to buy coins in PCI holders, typically, gold label coins are graded too high, and the green ones, if they have a ten digit serial number on the back are graded correctly (typically once again). The 14 digit green holders, are graded poorly typically.

I knew about the green labels being a bit more conservitive but I dont care for PCI at all. I just happened to notice this during a search today. Dont buy the holder or label - Buy the coin :)

Read that link.....I agree with Zane that most of the gold lables are overgraded....BUT not all....I got a 1926-S Buff in a gold lable slab marked F15 and NGC agreed with me that it was a VF20!
    Keep your eye out!
