:kewl: I am buying wheats for $ 18.00 for 800 they have have not been searched as i can tell, I have bought several bags with some awsome coins . As you know on my profile that I have some antique booths abd coins is a part of my booth. I havr been going thru them and getting the best ones to sell indvidually . But customers are now asking for wheat rolls which is no problem, since I use a cheap cointer machine. I do not want to cheat anyone and put junk in the rolls. I have done a few rolls and put a nice one face down & face up so they can see there is two descent coins in the roll . I have sold the ones i have rolled for $ 2.75 the same day. What would be the best way to roll and price them? Lets say 1 roll may have 1929 - 1936 assorted , I am confused how i would price the rolls without cheating myself or them ? The person that has these has a large plastic tote of these packed in ziplock bags. You might think this may be a elderly person, but he is my age, and is a pack rack , he keeps everyting ! He was helping me move some antique furniture in the booth when he saw the coin showcase. HE commented about having alot of these coins and i went to look and it was wheats. he came buy and dropped a few bags off, and I asked how much? He said make me a offer I replied I cant , he replied is $18.00 to much? Since theey were a little dirty, the ziplock dirty and not really knowing if they were searched or not I bought 2 bags .I am thrilled with the outcome. I talked to my wife and my parents and her are buying the tote with coins for my christmas. I just went and put $ 50.00 to hold them till christmas. but confussed on how to sell them in rolls as I dnt want a showcase full of wheats and dont realy like to sell on flea - bay because there is always a issue on items as we know, and being disabled I dont need the hassle, sa the booth and coins etc. is a hobby to me not a businees , just something to occupy my time. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME HELPFUL ADVICE ,:crying: P.S.. MY WIFE THINKS IM NUTS, BUT SHE WANTS ME TO BE HAPPY
If buy him I am getting them for 2 cents a coin im not out anything but sorting thru them , as they are selling for 3 - 4 cents up here for common wheats , As for as me its a hobby i make more money on the antique furniture etc. just trying to keep the customers in items they collect.
