i sent pictures of these 2 coins into this site, unslabbed, on oct 17 2013 under the name of slodg1. i was told to get them graded to help determine value and verify if they were authentic. i finally did this but i am disappointed the that the 1922 came back damaged. this coin is just dark, nothing else is wrong with it. i knew the 1914 was cleaned.
what might they be worth and how much is the damage on the 22 and the cleaning on the 14 hurting value.

That's a tough question on the 22. That's a $5000 coin without the damage which I can't see either. Maybe half that if it is indeed environmentally damaged.

Maybe $300 on the 14D. Both coins were still worth grading IMO.

PCGS would not grade them other than noting both are genuine and the 14 has XF details and the 22 has AU details. Maybe I should have sent them to a different grader.

There are better photos, unslabbed, on this site if you search slodg1 listings for October 17, 2017

You might try that, but I think you would get the same results, especially on the 14D.

They graded them correctly in my opinion. At least they came back genuine.
