I see all these wheat penny lots on eBay. My question is, why don't they tell you how many coins you will get? They always use terms of pounds, half pounds, quarter pounds, etc...So how many coins is that?? David
I think it would be much simpler if they just sold these by the roll. At least there is no confusion on how many I would get. David
And if you buy "unsearched" lots...chances are that the seller didn't search them, but it probably was searched and cherry picked many times before!
That's 145.8 coins to the pound- if they are all dated prior to 1982, when the weight changed to 2.5 grams, and the count went up to 181.4.
