I am aware that Lincoln cents and nickels weren’t minted with reeds, perhaps it’s damaged coin.

That happens sometimes when the Blank is cut a certain way from the Copper Sheet..
@Fred Weinberg I believe explained it better once.

Because of the uneven spacing, it is my guess that it is PMD.

I think the lines on the edge are shear lines from when the blank was made. They remain on the coin due it being an incomplete strike. Which means the edge of your coin did not get completely pressed against the collar die to give the coin a flat edge. The bevel that is seen on both sides of the coin is the proto rim from the Upset Mill.
This could be caused by a low pressure strike, and I speculate, possibly a hard planchet that missed the annealing oven.

Is this coin damaged or is it a error type of coin

All that, instead of just "encased and then removed"?

All this and I would add a worn blank punch.

It is an error coin, but not one that is desired enough by collectors to bring a premium. It would be considered a minor error. I have not seen one with the shear edge so pronounced like yours. I believe it's value lies in what can be learn from it.

Exactly. I was encased, in a holder of some kind.

I have never seen a Lucky coin with lines like that on the edge. Maybe it missed the upset mill?

I'm thinking the lines might have been scored in the cent possibly when removing (pressing it through) said coin from one of those.

It is definitely not from an encased lucky piece. Being in a encased holder will make the edge have a step on both sides.

Danomite What do you say uh-huh

The coin appears to have only partial steps on each side and why is there a lack of toning on the edge? Interesting...

You may get lucky but not from me. It's on a think planchet and those cut lines sometimes occur. Not worth a dollar to me.
