WHAZZIT?

This dime just grabbed my attention and I’m wondering if it’s something more than just damage. The bust / center looks good and strong but the remainder is hardly there.

Severe die deterioration,its not that special but keep if you like.

 

Yep.. Worn Die strike.

 

When a coin die begins to wear out, it has a tendency to make the metal flow, thus leaving those lines at the outer edge. A sure sign of a worn die.
