Hello, I have noticed at some coin shows and a few dealers that they have raised the price on wheat cents. I was debating on selling my collection of them. I was just wondering what everyone thinks the price on them will do. I realize copper prices are high right now. Any input would be appreciated.
Breakfast of Champions! I would hold them unless (1) you need the cash or (2) you have something else in mind to buy with the proceeds that you want to own more than the wheat cents. But I'd never just sell them to sell them or sell them because the price is up. The price of everything is up, and there's a good chance it will keep going up.
Very good point on the anniversary. I was thinking about selling and going to indians but I will most likely hold on to them.
"They are a great breakfast food" I prefer total myself. Back to the cents, I like them because they're about the only coin that you can still easily find in circulation that's worth collecting. Just yesterday I got a 193X - S wheat cent in pretty good condition (the year is readable I just can't remember what it was, I think '35 or '36)
yep, there still out there. i got a 1944 wheat in change a couple weeks ago. i would keep them. there your wheat cents so do anything you want with them. (except spend them)
Captain Crunch has competition! They will surely give you a good crunch. lol. I'd hold onto thaem, always neat to have. I love wheats. They are awesome to find in circ. If you want to sell, I'd like said earlier wait till 09. Phoenix
