1987 Constitution. While I was put off at first by the stylized eagle, I've come around on it -- but I've loved that quill design from the first time I saw it. I have no idea why.
The obverse of the 1988 Olympic is stunning, but for an obverse-reverse pair on a single coin I prefer the 1999 Washington, which is course is simply a re-do of a 1930s Laura Gardin Fraser design.
This is a tough choice. I own the 1986 Centennial of the Statue of Liberty, the 1987 Bicentennial of the Constitutional Convention and the 1988 Olympics, three of the more "common" modern commemoratives. Each one has a special beauty about them.
Commemorative yes (Celtic culture) And he didn't say US only but I spose I gotta admit it's not a $5 though the way things are going 20 Euro=$25 so I should get bonus points for higher face value
Well there are a few 10$ US comms. but none of them are usually anyones favorite. You do know the the mint called the Reverse Proof 50$ Buffalo a commemorative of the nickel right. But I did not image mine before sending it in for grading.
