I found this dime while coin roll hunting and was wondering if it had an error

I have no idea what tool was used to inflict that damage, but damage it is.

if you were to ask the person that afflicted the damage to the dime, then you would get your exact answer.

I would guess pliers had to be part of the equation.

ok thank you, I was also wondering if this 1967 Quarter had an error because there seems to be a smaller circle inside of it and also a c in the middle of the head

The smaller circle is from a coin wrapper rolling machine.

It was a prop in a WWF ladders, chairs and tables match were one of the Moondogs used this wielded with a pair of snap-on pliers.

I'll guess it was used as a screwdriver. A dime is a handy tool.
