I picked this IKE up at the recent ANA Show in Sacramento, CA and while scanning it for my inventory, noticed something unusual. Care to guess what I noticed? BTW, the slab is scratched there to the right of IKE's Portrait.
His mouth? Nope. Nothing wrong with his mouth. Shall I say that this is an embarrassingly glaring but not too obvious error? (If that makes any sense at all)
BINGO! I bought it because it's an MMS-001 mintmark and paid the dealers full $39.95 price for it. When I was cropping the scans, the obverse just didn't look like Silver so I put it under the microscope and plainly saw the truth! I need to NOT trust PCGS with regard to IKE's since they "consistently" misattribute them. However, all is not lost since it'll go in my PCGS Slab Error Collection. I've sent meny back to them for correction but never again. Shoulda kept one of these: Shoulda kept this one too! Oh Well.
