Whats wrong with this 42 merc?

    Found this merc metal detecting a few years back. There is the obvious blob on the coin, but there are also 2 little bumps on the edge at the arrows. Also on the coins edge opposite of the 2 bumps are 2 small indentations. Is it an error coin, and is it worth anything? Thanx

    Same here. The extra metal is solder (sp?) from having a pin attached to it or from being held into place in some kind of broach or other type of holder.
