Almost looks like a struck through die cap but I'm not 100% certain...

 

Any value for this or does it go back in the change jar? Wifey got it in her tips tonight.

 

non cents got it right , this is a very nice struck thru late stage die cap and a little scarce on a nickel coin. don't throw it back in the change jar. this one should be worth 20.00 or more

 

I've wondered what a struck through die cap on a nickel would look like. I've found 2 cents but not a nickel yet. Nice find!
