Whats Up with this 2001 Lincoln Cent?

    Lamination error? Thin copper layer? Or something else?

    Looks like something may have rubbed away the copper plating exposing the zinc core.

    By the way, the copper on a Zinc Cent is thin plating, not really a layer.
