I have a 1964 Kennedy half dollar. It's been in the family for 40 years. It was received in change at the bank and it seemed to have something stuck on it. Have not determined where it was minted. The condition is very good, just a little tarnished. It was decided later that what was stuck on it might have been wax. When my father received it, he took his finger nail over the rough spot. He later said something seem to flip out of it. As you can see there is a sunk in spot where kennedy's ear was. The lower part of the ear is still visable. This is a minting fault in my opinion. The bottom of the sunk in spot is smooth. It seems my pictures are too large a file for the upload. Any feed back on worth would be appreciated.
