Here I have a Nice Looking wheat Penny 1922 D By the chart It looks to be the week D.. I have another with a full large D and It just don't compare.. High Grade? Worth How Much?
It is not a weak "D". There is no such thing as a weak "D" with a strong reverse. See http://www.lincolncentresource.com/1922Ddievarieties.html BTW aside from not being the correct die pair, a weak "D" is very weak even hard to see without a loupe. And, FWIW, a VF 22-D goes for about $15
what do you mean By not being the right die pair, I have a strong D Here,in this pic .. I have like six 1922's, And i will look at the sight you posted thanks.. Could you tell me a better sight to look at error's besides coppercoins.com They dont have listings for a few coins i have been trying to look up the error's so i can send them in to be graded..
For a site that is all encompassing of error and variety categories(but not specific varietes) I would recommend this one- http://www.error-ref.com/
cool Now i see what he was saying, and I only have one from die#1 and thanks for the sight! Heres what I think is Die one
I doubt that is die#1, but I am not positive without seeing the reverse. There are only 4 die pairs recognized to produce 1922 no "D" coins. Only those specific dies. Die pair #2 is always a no "D" while the other three can produce coins recognized as weak "D"'s. Again, only those die pairs are recognized as weak "D"'s.
Heres the back side , I looked close at the end's of the wheat stock.. I was thinking die one.. But I am still learning.. And All of your help ,Helps.. I even looked into some coin classes..
ALL die 1 coins have a die crack from the O in ONE to L. That is a characteristic of that die pair and every coin from them has that die crack. If yours has that crack, you pictures do not show it.
I seen that i have one with The die crack But its in really bad shape, all red and looks bad, But thanks for your time.. I am going to post a 1909 vdb but just looking at the year..
