Can anyone enlighten me as to what's in this box. The person I bought it from told me it was a $25.00 bag of Vermont-d quarters. I was under the impression that those were not individually boxed. There are no other codes on the box.

    thanks

is there a reason you do not want to open the box to find out?? Is there any reason you should not trust the person you bought the box off of? if you have reason not to trust him, you shouldnt have bought the box. If you do trust him, and is the reason you bought the box, then you should believe what he says.

however, there have never been any hand written designations on any boxes of coins i have gotten from the mint. So that must have been hand written outside of the mint.

One thing you could do is weigh it, if it is imperative you dont open the [pandora's] box. Since you know how many quarters should be in there, you can come close to the weight.

I would guess that inside that box is a bag and in the bag is the quarters....when you buy a Mint Set it comes in a cardboard box like that....

The only thing that I find curious is the inspector number. It's #0000.... That would make me a little wary.

It seems to me that the only way you're gonna find out is to open 'er up!
