Whats happening to the date and mintmark on this 2018 P dime?

    I was searching today's pocket change when I saw this. I think it may be an error, but my crazy eyes may just be playing a prank on me again. Even if it isn;t an error, it is still funny to see what happened the the 8 and P at the very least!

    It is an issue with a worn die strike. Die Deterioration effect.

    Check the error-ref.com website that I posted for you in another thread, and look for "Die Deterioration." Read the article.

    Then come back and post your thoughts here.

    From what I saw and read, I have to agree with everyone here that it is likely DDD. From what I saw, it has a deterioration effect a lot like the "Poormans 1955 DD".
