What's going on with this Barber Dime? An error?

    Guys take a look between the nose and lips of Liberty and tell me what the heck that is exactly... lol.

    Dirt? Or some kind of mint error?

    Probably a die clash, and defiantly a keeper! Sweet! :thumb:

    Yeah, that was my first thought too... got a little bit a green there and everything... lol.

    I actually did a search for "snot nose" Barber, thought it might have been a common error like a Bugs Bunny Franklin... nothing came up though!

    This will probably end up on eBay pretty soon. I'm liquidating my US coins. ;)

    What you are seeing the objest just below the nose is just a clean spot on the coin it;s not raised or incused the coin is dirty in spots and that;s giving that impression. Look at the area near the back of the neck near the ribbon another place were it looks like something is there but a clean spot on the coinwere I also indicated in black arrow

    Where i pointed with red arrows is a die crack. No die clash
