I've tried to register for Coin People three times. Each time, I get the email with the link to activate my account. I click it, and am told my account is active but requires administrator approval before I can post or reply to threads. Several days go by, and instead of approving my access, suddenly the account disappears. There seems to be no way for me to contact the site administrators; there is no active "contact us" or similar link.
CoinPeople has been slowing down for a long time now, and seems to get a post every week or so. It's still there, but not sure it's worth your time.
I'm over there. I believe at one stage it was hit by spammers, scammers etc and accounts had to be manually approved. I do not know how it works now. The real advantage is the Russian coin section - many specialized collectors who do speak English. Some authors also do frequent there. I have learned a fair bit there and believe I still have a lot more learning.
Good lord, I didn't even realize Stu was still in business with his forum. I thought it had faded away into the ether years ago. Thrilled to hear that is not so, sorry to hear he is having issues.
A few pages over there do have that contact information. I am not a CP member, so when I go here for example http://www.coinpeople.com/index.php/gallery/ , I do not see a gallery page but one with a "Contact the community administrator" link. Click that, and it will create an e-mail message. @GDJMSP - I don't think that Stujoe is still involved there. Christian
Anton in Canada tookover for Stu when Stu was in the sandbox. Ca 2005-2008 or so was when that site was in it's heyday.
