    Did it get cooked in a pan or something? Seems like I remember seeing something like this once.

    Correct, Environmental Damage. Reminds me of a SBA Dollar I found this past weekend at the beach. Not cooked in a pan but baked in the sun and sand! :eggface:

    You also have a some bad scratches on your table or whatever surface you are using. Use a nicer background for presentation. A nice white piece of paper will make the coin image look much better.
