What can you guys tell me about this 1992P wasington qrtr? Washington is completely flat and above the LIBER it has the markings of a die error but im not certain about it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

masterswimmer A Caretaker, can't take it with me

Looks like a good amount of PMD or more commonly known as Post Mint Damage.

@Paul Rendon ...being a new member, here is a website that will help you immensely, if you don’t already know...

doubleddie.com. It is John Wexler’s site and it has many useful sections that explain die creation, worthless doubling and the minting process.

    Hope you find this helpful...jmho...Spark

Wow that's pretty cool I'm working on it thanks I like that
I knew it was post mint damage however it had to have some issue from the minting process to have caused the unusual wear because normal wear tear on a coin does not occur like that. That is what has me stumped because it's not like any parts of the rest of the coin has that same wear. I have a Roosevelt dime that looks like Roosevelt had an abscesses tooth on picture day his whole jaw is swollen pretty good and the other side of the dime does not have a dent in which could have accounted for that. So maybe that's what could have occured here idk that's just a guess

Extreme heat can affect the clad layer. It could only affect one side of the coin. Like a bubble underneath. So that is considered damage..The other side would look fine.

But a picture would help to better determine what you may have

The unusual wear is is due to abrasion, not a minting anomaly. Your coin looked like any other normal quarter when it left the mint.
