Found this 2006 Lincoln, would like to get an opinion. Cannot conclude if it is a crack or if when it was struck there was a piece of foreign material. Need some input here please. Thank you
If it is a crack, the metal that flows into the void would be raised. If it is a strikethrough (foreign material struck into the planchet) the mark would be recessed. Chris
K thank you so much, thought maybe it was a crack but wanted to yield to those with much knowledge and experience. Thank you again
I have discovered a 1999 New Jersey collectors quarter and the most amazing part is that one side is 'copper' and the other side is 'silver' and the ridges on the outer edge are very faint like a production defect. Any clues to its worth? And I would like to thank people at "USA Coinbook" for this referral! Thanks leon
First, welcome to the neighborhood, Leon! It would help if you posted photos of all three sides - obverse, reverse & edge. When you upload the files, be sure to use "Full Image" rather than "Thumbnail". One last thing! It's not nice to hijack another thread. You would be better off starting your own thread. Chris
Thanks Chris...and as far as the thread...? I must have started one before I was directed to enroll[?}
